Amos Tutuola
(born June 20, 1920 in Abeokuta, Nigeria, d ied. On June 8, 1997) - Nigerian novelist and essayist known prim arily as the author of books based on the legends created by the Yoruba tribe. Came from the Yoruba tribe. Born into a family of C atholic farmers. At age 12 he joined the Anglican Central School, Abeokuta. Learned in the years 1934-39. Between 1942-45 he worked for the Royal Air Force unit in Nigeria. Trudnił a variety of professions, selling bread to the poor, worked as a volunteer in hospitals [1].
